Our clientele spans various sectors, including cabinet making, office furniture, closet systems, hospitality, healthcare, and store fixtures. We are currently seeking a skilled Dovetail Operator to join our production team. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you! As a Dovetail Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that drawer components meet our high standards for quality and efficiency.

  • Operate dovetail machinery to machine drawer components for office and contract furniture according to established cycle times.
  • Load and unload parts into the machine, ensuring precision and accuracy throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate records of output and production rates, achieving a target of 100 to 150 cycles per hour.
  • Monitor and maintain machine performance, addressing any issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure that all machined parts meet or exceed customer specifications in terms of squareness, dimensional tolerances, and overall appearance.
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by the production supervisor to support overall operational goals.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; wood manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure in millimeters and understand dimensional tolerancing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
