Through innovative housing, job training, and family support programs, we serve hundreds of families each year across Chicagoland. Position Summary The Community-Based Doula supports healthy pregnancies, promotes breastfeeding, and builds trusting relationships with families before, during, and after birth. Through home visits, group-based services, and labor support, the Doula provides education, advocacy, and non-clinical birth support. This role is based out of our Oak Park office and primarily serves young mothers (ages 24 and under) in the surrounding western suburbs, with cross-coverage for families in Chicago. Location: Oak Park, IL with travel to surrounding western suburbs & Chicago Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week Starting Salary: $49,000 - $51,000 DOQ What a Day Might Look Like Visiting a participant at home to discuss birth plans, comfort measures, or postpartum recovery Providing continuous, non-clinical labor and delivery support in a hospital or birth center Supporting a new parent with breastfeeding initiation and early bonding Facilitating or preparing for a prenatal care group Coordinating with coaches, healthcare providers, and community partners Documenting visits, assessments, and outcomes in required databases Responding to participant needs through phone, text, or the New Moms app Participating in the on-call rotation to support births as they occur
