About The Position

WCMHS is seeking a Doula Project Case Manager to work on a per diem basis. With an approach rooted in the understanding that mental health issues, cognitive limitations, trauma, and substance use concerns present unique challenges during and after pregnancy, the Doula Project offers supports to pregnant people and people who have recently given birth and who are receiving or eligible to receive services from WCMHS. The Doula Project Case Manager provides prenatal, labor, and postpartum supports and case management services, including assessment, treatment plan development, referrals, and facilitates access to appropriate resources. Case Managers must have availability to provide on-call support at least 10 days per month.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
  • Two years of human service work with people who are pregnant and parenting (preferred).
  • Experience providing direct instruction and therapeutic services to individuals with a history of trauma.
  • Status as Certified Birth and/or postpartum doula or willingness to immediately start training upon hire.
  • Current CPR Certification or willingness to become certified immediately upon hire.
  • Status as Certified Childbirth Educator (preferred).
  • Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills.
  • Knowledge of maternal health outcomes, social determinants of health, and health equity.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care and commitment to empowering parents and families.
  • Understanding of and ability to navigate the system of care across populations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently complete clinical documentation timely and accurately.
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, and ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle.

Responsibilities
