Doula - Labor and Delivery (L&D) - Per-diem - Nights
About The Position

Doulas would be responsible to provide emotional and physical support to the patient/ family in all the stages of their labor, birth/postpartum process. The doula will work closely with the birthing team (midwives, nurses and physicians} to provide safe, high quality and culturally sensitive care to all patients giving birth at NYP\BMH. This is a per-diem night shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, weekends required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Doula certification and training from DONA International
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Childbirth education, labor support, or breastfeeding education and support
- Certified Lactation Counselor certification preferred
