About The Position

The DOT Sumter Custodial Lead at Brevard Achievement Center is responsible for overseeing custodial operations at a Department of Transportation Rest Area facility. Requirements

• Prior experience in custodial work.
• Ability to pass a background screening for access to work areas.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of the custodial staff to ensure daily activities are accomplished in the absence of the supervisor.
• Ensure quality assurance standards are met through visual inspections and necessary corrections.
• Provide ongoing training to custodial staff.
• Perform custodial work according to specified contracted methods of cleaning.
• Remove and dispose of trash.
• Clean offices, including dusting, vacuuming, and sweeping.
• Clean restrooms, including mopping, disinfecting, and cleaning mirrors, partitions, toilets, and sinks.
• Stock paper and soap supplies.
• Properly dispose of hazardous waste material.
• Pick up litter from outside the foyer and grass areas.
• Maintain supplies and equipment under established procedures.
• Perform other specified custodial tasks as requested.
