About The Position

The Dosimetrist serves as a member of the radiation oncology team with knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of the radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment. Has the education and expertise to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with the radiation oncologist.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 Year of Experience
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of 3D CT anatomy with ability to contour clearly discernable critical normal structures with extreme accuracy
• Design a patient radiation treatment plan by means of a 3D treatment planning computer utilizing optimal beam geometry that delivers radiation to the tumor site while sparing critical normal structures
• Generate and transfer all technical documentation and plan parameters into the treatment preparation site and treatment delivery unit to assure accurate radiation treatment delivery is performed
