POSITION SUMMARY Provides radiation treatment plans in accordance with radiation oncologists’ prescriptions under the direction of the physicist. Performs calculations and reviews radiation treatment plans with the radiation oncologist

Requirements

• Completion of an Associates or Bachelors in Dosimetry or Physics or formalized on the job training program.
• 2 to 3 years of experience working in radiation dosimetry
• Eligible for Medical Dosimetrist Certification and must become board certified within 2 years of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s or Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in the physical or biological sciences or is a Registered Radiation Therapist.
• 5 years of experience performing dosimetry under the supervision of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist or Medical Physicist.
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or obtain certification within 2 years after DOH

Responsibilities

• Provides radiation treatment plans in accordance with radiation oncologists’ prescriptions under the direction of the physicist.
• Performs calculations and reviews radiation treatment plans with the radiation oncologist
