Doors & Mechanisms Design Engineer - Technical Specialist I in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: Combined engineering team of Doors & Mechanisms and Crew & Equipment, covering all Gulfstream programs including current large cabin aircraft (G400/G500/G600/G700/G800), special missions, and new product development. This position is focused on Doors & Mechanisms but candidate will have opportunities across disciplines and programs. Doors includes all Door systems on the aircraft (main entry, overwing emergency exits, landing gear, baggage, service, acoustic, egress hatch), related components (controllers, actuators, dampers, reels, latches, handles, seals), and related procedures. Range of duties includes door structure & mechanism design, test/rigging procedure definition, supplier coordination for LRUs qualification & reliability, on-wing investigations, and flight test & aircraft certification support. Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 ys in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
