As a Doorperson, you will warmly welcome and assist guests as they enter and exit their vehicles as well as transport luggage and packages, ensuring a smooth and pleasant arrival experience. Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee is the largest hotel in Milwaukee. Originally built in 1927 as the historic Schroeder Hotel, the property features 554 well-appointed guest rooms and also oversees The Marc Hotel, offering an additional 175 rooms and suites. Together, the hotels boast more than 34,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space.

Requirements

Ability to speak, understand, and read the English language in order to communicate with guests and follow instructions.
Ability to grasp, lift, and/ or carry or otherwise move packages and boxes and luggage up to 75 lbs. continuously throughout the shift.
Ability to stand, walk and continuously perform essential job functions.
Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome all guests, check-ins/outs, effectively resolve challenging guest requests and complaints.
Lift, carry, load luggage onto bell cart, read and match luggage tags, write claim tickets, and escort guests to their rooms with their items.
Represent the hotel with professionalism and decorum – including remaining calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity.
Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
Responsible for snow removal near entryway (seasonal).
Perform other duties as assigned.
