About The Position

Under the direction of the theatre management team, the Doorman is responsible for greeting arriving and departing guests and directing traffic in the theatres ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and cleanliness of the theatre. Tasks will be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner. This position reports to a member of the theatre management team or General Manager (reporting may vary by location).

Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Flexible and accessible work schedule that includes late evenings, weekends and holidays as dictated by business needs

Responsibilities

Greet arriving and departing guests, direct traffic at the main entrance of the theatre
Control access to the theatre by verifying ticket purchases
Perform daily maintenance duties, including daily stocking of supplies
Make certain guest service is friendly, helpful and fast
Enforce ratings to keep underage guests from accessing auditoriums with adult content
Monitor associate and guest behavior in and around the lobby
Assist with crowd control and seating of guests in auditoriums when necessary
Assist with attending to the cleanliness of the lobby and surrounding areas
Follow instructions on safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials
Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns
Uphold Marcus' high standards and execute company-wide programs
Assist with other functions as instructed by the General Manager or a member of the management team
