About The Position

This position assists in the finishing of door slabs to prepare them for painting. Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write so that written instructions can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem (Analytical Skills).
  • Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Need to pay very close attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate automated production line machinery.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours to meet the customer’s needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational school and auto body paint experience.
  • Experience in millwork and finish work.
  • Spray equipment and knowledge of painting in a production line environment.

Responsibilities

  • Sanding and fixing imperfections of product to get the best paint finish.
  • Maintain the shop and paint equipment to ensure they stay in good condition.
  • Prepare the product going to the painter.
  • Paint and stain the product.
  • Monitor the workload and work orders for the day.
  • Ensure the paint is ordered in a timely manner.
  • Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
