About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences New Orleans is seeking a Door Attendant to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone with excitement and dedication in serving our guests. Our Door Attendant is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, accommodating special requests whenever possible, assisting guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, and arranging for cars to be parked/retrieved. As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Door Attendant to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and multi-task
  • Requires oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Bending to pick up or place luggage or boxes on cart.
  • Pulling luggage carts with weight of up to 200 pounds. Cart may be pulled up to the length of a full city block.
  • Lifts boxes of up to 100 pounds and carries them for up to 15 feet.
  • Is mobile during 100% of shift.
  • Work authorization in the United States
  • One to two years’ experience working in Hospitality or Customer Service
  • Louisiana Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience within a hotel is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists guest with luggage during arrival and departure, makes necessary deliveries to and pick up from guest rooms, transports guest and hotel packages and parcels.
  • Greets guests and escorts them to their rooms.
  • Delivers luggage to room upon check-in and picks up luggage from room upon departure, moving the luggage to storage or the Front Drive.
  • Maintains proper records of deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
  • Arranging for cars to be parked/retrieved
