The door attendant is primarily responsible for assisting patients and guests to and from cars, courtesy vans, shuttle busses, or taxis, while establishing and maintaining a pleasant and helpful relationship. This will include offering direction support, mobility assistance, and answering general questions which might be asked by our guests. Other responsibilities include keeping the patient loading zones clear, transporting patients, their personal belongings, or selected medical devices, calling, recording, and monitoring taxi cabs and courtesy vehicles daily for patients and visitors. Assist and support valet operations as directed as well as sanitizing any equipment used to support patient. Assisting with traffic control in drive-up lanes to ensure safety of everyone traversing through these areas. Wheelchair recovery is required of all door staff which may include the following: hospital floors, clinic floors, hotels and other on and off campus ancillary areas.
