About The Position

An amazing opportunity to be a pivotal part of the team of this Omni convention collection hotel. The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel will showcase views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space, sports bar, specialty restaurant, coffee shop and a retail venue. The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking an engaging Summer Pool Door Attendant to be stationed near our pool. This team member will be responsible for monitoring and providing assistance to guests on the 3rd floor rooftop pool and CatBird Seat pool bar area. As a member of our guest services team, this person will regulate entry into the pool and cabana area, ensure all rules and regulations from the pool are being followed, and guests have memorable experiences.

Requirements

  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds and walk or stand for an entire shift.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be comfortable in high stress environments while remaining professional and courteous.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with guests and fellow associates.
  • At least 6 months’ experience in guest service-related position, preferably in hotels or security.
  • Able to become certified in basic CPR and First Aid strongly preferred.
  • Okay to work in various weather conditions: extreme heat, cold, rain, sun, etc.
  • It must be comfortable in and around pools.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the hotel

Responsibilities

  • To ensure pool guests are registered guests via hotel reservations, Resort Pass, or other hotel approved functions.
  • Ensure counting guests at the Pool and Pool Bar is accurate and does not exceed maximum restrictions per local ordinances and fire codes.
  • Check guests into pool area, informing them of policies in place and rejecting any necessary objects and items from entering the pool area.
  • It is courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing pool policies and procedures.
  • Ensure pool area is maintained, clean, and tidy by partnering with Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Security teams.
  • Interact with other departments to ensure that guests’ needs are satisfied.
  • Speak with guests in a friendly, warm manner making them feel welcome to the hotel and pool.
  • Ensures maximum guest, associates, and hotel safety and security always.
  • Accept other special duties as required by management.
  • Works closely with Security and Front Desk, keeping them informed of significant observations or events.
