About The Position

Leer is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Door Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling various sizes of doors, while ensuring all quality standards and safety protocols are met. The role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work with others, as well as the use of hand tools and machinery.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Good communication skills, basic math skills, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers, and power tools such as saws.
Proficiency in reading and using tape measures.
Adherence to all safety policies and protocols.
Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds on a continual basis.
Manual dexterity to operate tools and machinery.
Ability to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours a day.
Ability to lift, stand, and bend for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

Assemble doors by following blueprints, and verbal instructions from supervisors.
Prep and build door components such as frames and door plugs to required dimensions.
Install handles, wiring, and door plugs.
Perform hipot (high potential) testing on electrical components.
Ensure all assembled doors meet quality standards.
Inspect door parts for defects and report any issues or discrepancies.
Operate hand tools used in the assembly process.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of assembly tools and equipment.
Assist with final packaging of doors.
