Additional Pay Opportunities:   2nd Shift offers a $2.00/ hr. shift differential  Pay raise opportunities at 2 months, 6 months and 12 months of employment Work Schedules: Schedules will vary based on workload  1st Shift: Monday--Thursday: 6:00am -- 3:00pm & Friday: 6:00am -- Noon  2nd Shift: Monday--Thursday: 3:00pm -- 12:30am & Friday: Noon -- 6:00pm  VALLEY CABINET Job Title:  Door Assembler   Work Location: De Pere Location  Division/Department: VCD/ Door Assembly   Reports To:  Door Assembly Supervisor  Full-time Nonexempt Level: 3  Position Summary:  A Door Assembler is responsible for the assembly of cabinet doors and related components.

Requirements

  • No required education or job experience.
  • Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
  • Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established manufacturing procedures under assigned department which may include but not limited to: sanding, gluing and assembling.
  • Assemble and fit wood frame parts and panel pieces to form cabinet doors and drawer fronts.
  • Ensure accurate assembly of parts by including use of all parts, having tight seals on all seams, and correcting imperfections.
  • Verify dimensions and check the fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Use of table saws and other various woodworking machinery.
  • Putty, trim, sand, or scrape surfaces of product as needed.
  • Inspect finished doors for quality, ensuring that they meet specified standards.
  • Ensure door jobs are complete including; doors, moldings, veneers, plywood’s, and solid stock
  • Ensure work orders are completed successfully, on-time, and meet customer specifications.
  • Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
