About The Position

The Donor Relations Associate (DRA) at Cure Alzheimer's Fund is a full-time role focused on supporting fundraising efforts and donor engagement initiatives. The DRA will work closely with the Development team to manage event logistics, maintain donor records, and assist in communication with donors. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop foundational skills in fundraising within a mission-driven organization dedicated to combating Alzheimer's disease.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of administrative and project management experience preferred, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
  • Direct experience in fundraising and events is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Prior experience with Raiser's Edge or other relational databases is helpful.

  • Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or higher education setting is highly desirable.
  • Intellectually curious with investigative and research skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build authentic relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Cure Alzheimer's Fund Development calendar.
  • Lead or support fundraising and awareness events in collaboration with the Development team and Marketing & Communications.
  • Communicate with vendors, hosts, researchers, and other event representatives.
  • Build invitation lists from the donor database for events based on geography.
  • Track event invitations, RSVPs, and related data in the donor database.
  • Send invitations, confirmations, and follow-up communications.
  • Coordinate shipment of collateral and other supplies for events.
  • Be on-site to coordinate with vendors and support event logistics.
  • Create Zoom meetings and webinars for virtual events; support tech/recordings.
  • Draft, maintain, and store event planning documents.
  • Prepare donor and prospect profiles and briefings for donor meetings and cultivation events.
  • Support scheduling of donor-facing activities, including coordinating travel and booking reservations.
  • Send thank you emails, make thank you calls, and invite renewed support from select donors and prospects.
  • Copyedit reports and emails, and contribute to sample donor communications.
  • Assist with grant writing assignments and support CEO donor engagement activities.
  • Ensure donor records are maintained and updated in the donor database and SharePoint.
  • Run queries and reports from the donor database.
  • Maintain awarded research list for the Gifts with Special Requirements Process.
  • Submit requests for prospect research, constituent updates, and data lists.
  • Support travel arrangements for the frontline team and draft correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain files, both paper and electronic.
  • Facilitate receipt collection and coding for Business Services.
