LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Donor Recruitment Representative to join our team in Gainesville, FL. This full-time position plays a crucial role in our mission to provide a safe and reliable blood supply to the communities we serve. The Donor Recruitment Representative will be responsible for planning and scheduling blood drives, which includes managing publicity, donor recognition, and education efforts. This role is vital in ensuring that we meet the blood supply needs of hospitals and patients across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. As a Donor Recruitment Representative, you will manage assigned blood drive accounts and work to establish new accounts as directed by management. You will be tasked with achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual collection goals, which requires effective scheduling of blood drives and accurate projections for each event. Your role will also involve actively recruiting donors on-site, preparing and delivering promotional materials, and coordinating with Corporate Marketing & Recruitment staff as needed. Building rapport with blood drive chairpersons and effectively addressing any concerns that arise during blood drives will be essential to your success in this position. To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a positive, outgoing attitude. You will need to be innovative in your problem-solving approach and capable of following moderately complex oral and written instructions. Proficiency in various computer software applications is also required. While a high school diploma or GED is necessary, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with two years of sales or marketing experience. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential, as you will be required to travel to various worksites.
