The Donor Greeter plays a crucial role in the donation process at Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, ensuring that all donations are handled with care and that customers receive exceptional service. This position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the donation door, where the Donor Greeter will accept donations, assist customers, and maintain a clean and safe environment. The role requires a friendly demeanor and a commitment to customer service, as the Donor Greeter will be the first point of contact for donors. The individual will be responsible for sorting donations by category, accurately logging donations, and ensuring that all equipment is properly labeled and organized for processing and transportation. Additionally, the Donor Greeter will assist in loading and unloading merchandise and equipment onto and off trucks as needed, while adhering to safety procedures during these tasks. In this position, the Donor Greeter must maintain a positive attitude and a professional service-oriented approach at all times. Greeting customers promptly and handling any concerns with courtesy and respect is essential. The role also includes maintaining the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the store, which involves tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and mopping floors. The Donor Greeter is expected to be a supportive team member, sharing ideas and concerns with coworkers and management in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed, making flexibility and adaptability key traits for success in this role.
