About The Position

The position involves responding to the needs of organ donor families by developing and implementing appropriate after-care services, which include grief counseling and bereavement support. The role also requires coordinating projects, programs, and special events that enhance the donor families' experiences, as well as facilitating communication between donor families and transplant recipients. Additionally, the individual will collaborate on various LifeQuest and donor program development department projects and campaigns as needed. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently, find creative solutions to problems, and develop innovative ideas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, health sciences, social work, or a related field.
  • Two years of case management, social work, hospice, grief counseling, or related experience; OR two years of donor family after-care experience within an organ procurement organization (OPO), tissue bank, or eye bank.
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
