About The Position

The position involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining high levels of customer service, and ensuring a clean and professional work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Three (3) months' experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
  • Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions, and manuals required.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions required.
  • Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
  • Effective communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (e.g. FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP).
  • Maintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and stock supplies.
  • Maintain Donor Center equipment based on Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor donor conditions for comfort and safety.
  • Maintain donor confidentiality.
  • Keep complete and accurate records per company procedures.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms/alerts and perform routine quality checks.
  • Clean blood or plasma spills and dispose of biohazardous waste properly.
  • Ensure donor meets eligibility criteria and perform vitals evaluation.
  • Register applicant donors.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for plasmapheresis procedures.
  • Disconnect donor after plasmapheresis process.
  • Operate automated plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
  • Collect and store plasma product and samples properly.
  • Organize samples in storage freezers.
  • Prepare product and samples for shipment.
  • Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures.
