About The Position

The position involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining high levels of customer service, and ensuring a clean and professional work environment. Responsibilities include monitoring donor conditions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring donor confidentiality. The role also involves troubleshooting machine alarms, performing quality checks, and cleaning biohazardous waste. Additionally, the position requires evaluating donor eligibility, performing vitals evaluations, and managing plasma collection and processing according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Three months' experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
  • Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations and instructions required.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions required.
  • Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
  • Effective communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and stock supplies.
  • Maintain Donor Center equipment based on Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor donor conditions for comfort, safety, and quality of plasma product.
  • Maintain donor confidentiality based on company policy.
  • Keep complete and accurate records per company's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms/alerts and perform routine quality checks on equipment.
  • Clean blood or plasma spills and dispose of biohazardous waste properly.
  • Ensure donor meets eligibility criteria and perform vitals evaluation.
  • Register applicant donors per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for plasmapheresis procedures.
  • Disconnect donor after plasmapheresis process is completed.
  • Operate automated plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
  • Collect and store plasma product and samples per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Organize samples and product in storage freezer.
  • Prepare product and samples for shipments according to regulations.
  • Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and inform personnel of issues.
