About The Position

The Donor Center Blood Collection Staff at the American Red Cross plays a crucial role in the blood donation process, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements

• Associates degree or a combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting.
• Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record may be required.
• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
• Prior leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with every step of the blood collection process at fixed site locations.
• Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors.
• Follow all safety procedures while collecting blood donations.
• Connect personally with donors and help them understand the impact of their donation.
• Ensure that collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements.
