SBCS (formerly South Bay Community Services) transforms communities to support the well-being and prosperity of children, youth, and families. For more than 50 years, we’ve worked throughout San Diego to provide safe shelter, transitional housing, intervention prevention programs, mental health support, and many other services that meet the ever-changing needs of our communities. SBCS receives all types of donations-- clothes, furniture, toys, books, hygiene products, brand new unsold merchandise, etc. Our dedicated warehouse staff go through donations and organize a “boutique” for families to find necessary items. This includes staging items and making the space welcoming. To support this program, we are looking for 1 long-term volunteer to help inspect, sort and process incoming donations on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
