About The Position

As a Donation Specialist at Goodwill NNE, you will play a crucial role in managing donations and providing excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, accepting, tracking, and sorting donations, ensuring that all items are processed efficiently and organized properly. You will also engage with donors, operate power equipment, and maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere in the workplace.

Requirements

• Strong mathematical and literacy skills for daily tasks.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive and friendly attitude to foster a great work environment.
• Clear background check to meet agency standards.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience or certification in light manufacturing, processing, or warehouse work.
• Experience with thrift or used goods processing.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, accept, track, and sort donations to ensure proper processing.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting donors and assisting them as needed.
• Safely operate power equipment to organize and store donated goods.
• Categorize and sort merchandise into correct categories while ensuring quality and value.
• Load and unload materials into containers to prepare donations for processing.
• Efficiently process donations throughout the day to keep the donation site organized.
