The Donation Processor at Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley plays a crucial role in the retail operations of the organization. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about contributing to a mission-driven organization that empowers individuals with disadvantages and disabilities. The Donation Processor is responsible for performing various retail sales functions, which include accepting merchandise donations, selecting and pricing donated goods and textiles, and ensuring that these items are ready for sale in the retail stores according to established procedures. This role not only supports the retail environment but also directly contributes to the organization's mission of improving the quality of life for those in the community. In this position, the Donation Processor will provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions with donors and customers are friendly and professional. The role involves receiving and handling donated goods, which requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to complete reports accurately as assigned. Additionally, the Donation Processor will perform stock duties, such as sorting and hanging garments, and maintaining an organized pulling system to keep the store well-stocked and presentable. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the Donation Processor must be able to adapt to the varying needs of the store and perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate for this position will have a high school diploma or GED, although this is preferred rather than required. Experience in retail sales, particularly in customer service and shipping/receiving, is also preferred but not mandatory. A key physical requirement of the role is the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, which is essential for handling donations and maintaining the store's inventory. The Donation Processor must also be able to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
