About The Position

At Working Wardrobes, we help individuals overcome barriers to gainful employment. As the Donation Center Coordinator (Driver), you will play a vital role in day-to-day operations to meet the needs of our clients and retail stores. You will assist with daily functions, support operational processes, and help maintain quality control. This position works closely with the Donation Center Team Lead, who will provide direction, leadership, and accountability for your performance.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • 6+ months of experience in retail and/or warehouse operations, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS systems.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.

  • Forklift operator certification is highly desirable (certification training can be provided).
  • Service-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations to ensure timely and efficient handling of clothing donations and inventory.
  • Select, inventory, and load clothing racks/pallets for delivery across all locations.
  • Drive multiple vehicles (Box Truck, Van, Electric Vehicles) in facilitation of pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Donation Center, including the lobby and storage areas.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain operational processes that align with organizational goals.
  • Assist with retail store coverage on an as-needed basis to support operations across locations.
  • Ensure high standards of quality control for all donations, aligning with the needs of the Career Success Center and retail stores.
  • Track inventory levels and assist in maintaining accuracy and appropriate rotation of products.
  • Assist with the packing and logistics for transporting merchandise to stores and fundraising events.
  • Assist in coordination of volunteer activities, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Support onboarding and day-to-day guidance of volunteers to promote engagement and productivity.
  • Represent Working Wardrobes with professionalism during donor interactions and pick-ups.
  • Maintain storage and warehouse organization, recommending improvements for space management.
  • Execute the facility’s maintenance plan, ensuring safe and operational equipment.
  • Operate the Donation Center truck, pallet jack and forklift as needed.
