We provide emergency services such as shelter and meals to neighbors experiencing homelessness. We offer supportive housing and addiction recovery programs that promote self-sufficiency, sustainable transformation, and stability. Job Purpose Ensures the accurate, efficient, and timely processing of all charitable contributions by leading the processing team. Maintains appropriate processes to accept, sort, and price donations.

Requirements

  • Experience with leading a team of people to accomplish shared goals.
  • Excellent communication skills (including oral, written, and electronic).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Writes in legible, clear handwriting.
  • Shows skills of being detail-oriented, organized, and time-management.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems, meet goals, and work with limited supervision.
  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment and achieving production goals.
  • Experience with delegating tasks.
  • Skilled in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with reading and defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.

  • Fosters a sense of community and shared purpose via collaboration and cooperation with others inside and outside the organization.

  • Occasionally moves about inside the office or warehouse to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Communicates information and ideas so others will understand. Exchanges accurate information in these situations.
  • Observe details at close and distant range, as well as identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequently move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across work location for various needs.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and equips the Donation Center team to foster a positive and welcoming environment for staff, donors, customers, and volunteers.
  • Performs key duties within the processing team, including accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized facility while providing thorough training to staff. Adheres to and implements TRM and donor service standards, policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of team members.
  • Performs administrative responsibilities efficiently, including creating bi-weekly staffing schedules, completing daily reports, and setting team goals aligned with organizational targets.
  • Works with and effectively communicates with the Mission Thrift team on a regular basis to ensure all the operational needs of the store are being met.
  • Communicates efficiently and clearly with supervisor and other departments on needs and progress of the processing team.
  • Embodies the values that form our culture to meet the organization’s mission of sharing God’s love, hope, and support with our neighbors in need to uplift communities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support others and ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
