About The Position

To provide a positive donor experience by providing exceptional customer service while efficiently receiving, pricing, and sorting donations. Support the overall operations of a fast-paced Donation Center to maintain an organized and productive environment. This position reports to the Donation Center Manager who evaluates performance annually. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of current clothing, shoe styles, furniture, toys, wares, brand names, materials, and pricing.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple math calculations.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make quick and accurate judgments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with donors, customers, and coworkers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow standard retail procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Flexible availability.
  • Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to effectively and safely use standard office and light industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist donors at the Donation Drive-Thru, professionally unloading and handling donations while placing them in the appropriate staging area.
  • Efficiently process donations by sorting, sizing, hanging, and accurately pricing items before moving them to designated staging areas.
  • Help maintain a secure and safe environment for both employees and donors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Open and close the facility following standard operating procedures.
  • Manage supply orders and request trucks as needed to support operations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks to facilitate the movement of merchandise .
  • Keep the donation center clean, organized, and running efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
