The Donation Attendant performs retail sales functions, accepts merchandise donations, and is responsible for selecting and pricing donated goods and textiles for sale in retail stores, adhering to the Retail Procedures Manual. Key duties include providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register accurately, inspecting and testing various donated items (textiles, furniture, appliances, etc.) for saleability, and performing stock duties such as sorting, hanging, and stocking. The role also involves ensuring quality control, completing assigned reports, preparing items for resale, and disinfecting upholstered materials. The attendant must follow the company dress code, maintain a professional image, and comply with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards. This position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
