About The Position

The Donation Attendant at The Salvation Army ARC San Francisco plays a crucial role in supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program by managing the donation process and ensuring a positive experience for donors. This full-time position involves maintaining the donation area, assisting donors, and contributing to the overall success of the retail team while promoting community service and teamwork.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assisting the donor in the receipt of donated items and providing receipts.
• Maintaining all reports and paperwork as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Separating and sorting all donated material into the proper containers and properly stacking material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assisting TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Informing the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.).
• Securing and locking the Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
