About The Position

The position is responsible for the recruitment, retention, and training of nursing staff to ensure compliance with legal procedures, nursing laws, and state and federal regulations, while providing quality care to residents in a skilled nursing and assisted living facility.

Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing in the state in which the facility is located.
• Minimum four years experience in the health care field.
• Preferred one year supervisory or management role in health care field.
• Possess leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in selection and hiring, evaluation, disciplinary action, and training of nursing personnel.
• Monitor nursing care and services provided on all shifts on a routine basis.
• Oversee the resident assessment process for all residents, including completing assessments and development of resident plan of care.
• Assign and approve work schedules and monitor and coordinate nursing activities of all shifts.
• Consult with Admissions or Administrator on admission, room assignments, and discharge of residents.
• Consult with Administrator in development of nursing budgets, clinical needs, and purchases.
• Oversee the ordering of nursing equipment and supplies as needed.
• Prepare all relevant reports to present at QAPI meeting.
• Develop, implement, and document clinical performance improvement plans.
