About The Position

The Diversion Hub is a comprehensive, one-stop network dedicated to assisting justice-involved individuals in Oklahoma City by harnessing the power of multiple support agencies through combined and synchronized services. Our goal is to provide life-stabilizing resources while empowering individuals to reduce their encounters with the criminal legal system through enhanced support services, including case management, data integration, and coordinated communication under one roof. The Diversion Hub DV Coordinator will provide oversight and manage the communications and dynamics of the DV pilot project team; oversee client data; ensure DV pilot team members adhere to identified functions, philosophy, and performance standards; remain informed regarding budgetary concerns of the DV pilot and coordinate services from each discipline; and the local community, in a manner that is most optimal for public safety as well as therapeutic to the DV pilot participant. The coordinator is supervised in a cooperative approach by the District Attorney, Public Defender, and Diversion Hub. The coordinator is to maintain strict neutrality with regard to all aspects of the program.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in social work, communication, criminal justice, political science, or similar human service area.
  • Clearance of background
  • Must have own transportation to work site, valid driver's license, and insurance on motor vehicle in accordance with state law and agency requirements.
  • Intermediate computer, mobile device, and internet skills with knowledge of software programs including but not limited to:
  • Windows and Microsoft Office Products
  • Cloud-based File Sharing such as Google Drive and Dropbox
  • Adobe Products
  • Client Databases
  • Must have excellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to manually operate and use a computer.
  • Must be able to clearly hear and understand telephone conversations.

  • Possess maturity and judgment consistent with the high level of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate capacity for teaching adults and older adults.
  • Experience working with clients who have domestic violence charges.
  • Experience working with clients experiencing acute mental health.
  • Experience working with clients living with substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in position requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and keeps a shared, running database of all referrals, participants and former participants. Updates the database daily as to the compliance of each participant. Works closely with team members to track referrals, track participant compliance and help the court process.
  • Functions as a member of the DV pilot project multidisciplinary team by discussing participants, contributing ideas, and recommending actions, and committing themselves to the program mission and goals; and works as a full partner to ensure success:
  • Aids the Court in the processing of referrals and participants.
  • Works closely with the Assistant District Attorney to oversee participant compliance.
  • Works closely with the Assistant Public Defender to track referrals.
  • Schedules meetings conducive to the schedule of each DV pilot team member.
  • Schedules regular meetings and creates a written document of all agreed upon terms of the program structure.
  • Collaborates to prepare a written program mission, goals and objectives, and written philosophy.
  • Revisits program mission, goals and objectives with team to assure their efficacy and application.
  • Will seek out training opportunities and other similar programs to create a best practice standard.
  • Acts as the contact point between the community and the court to ensure program effectiveness and success:
  • Informs community partners of expectations of the DV pilot program.
  • Drafts and implements memorandum of understanding for community partners on the DV pilot project team and updates as needed.
  • Seeks and schedules opportunities to educate the public on the DV pilot program.
  • Identifies and recommends potential new team members to ensure competent team members and a successful program.
  • Identifies training opportunities for the DV pilot team and ensures team members attend all mandatory training prior to functioning as a team member.
  • Creates internal and interagency linkages to address client’s ancillary needs in the areas of medical, housing, employment, and vocational skills planning:
  • Helps ensure partners understand the DV pilot program model and value by educating employers, housing providers, and other agencies associated with participants on the requirements of DV pilot program.
  • Provides information and promotes the DV pilot program to employers, housing providers, and other agencies on the value of working with participants from the DV pilot program.
  • Works with the multidisciplinary team members to create standards for program compliance:
  • Collaborates to create written roles and inform team members of expectations of their role on the multidisciplinary team based on state statute.
  • Provides orientation to new team members.
  • Gathers information needed to keep team members informed of participants and expectations.
  • Helps to promote a productive work environment where each team member can participate openly.
  • Works closely with the Judge, District Attorney, and Public Defender to ensure policies are followed, participants’ needs are addressed, and program standards are met.
  • Works in conjunction with the Executive Team and other team members to prepare financial reports and summaries to inform team members of financial status.
  • Maintain daily contact with judge, prosecutor, defense counsel, participants, community treatment providers and facilities, community organizations, court services officer, and court staff to ask and answer questions pertinent to the DV pilot program; and frequent contact with Arrive (BIP) and (YWCA) victim advocacy services to coordinate care.
  • Attend all staff development, trainings and meetings as required.
