About The Position

You’ll join a mission-driven team dedicated to empowering human dignity. Though our Catholic Faith guides our work, you do not have to be Catholic to join our team or receive services from Catholic Charities. As a critical and leading member of the Catholic Charities’ Domestic Violence Services Program team, you will: Stand in the Gap During Moments of Crisis & Courage Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention, advocacy, and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking — and their children — in both shelter and hotline settings. Answer the 24/7 Domestic Violence Hotline with calm, clarity, and compassion, helping callers assess safety, explore options, and take next steps. Walk alongside survivors in one-on-one and group settings, offering advocacy, education, and empowerment-centered support. Help meet survivors’ physical, social, and behavioral needs by coordinating services, connecting survivors to community resources, and problem-solving barriers to safety and stability. Support a safe, welcoming shelter environment by assisting with daily operations, maintaining shared spaces, and ensuring essential supplies are available. Extend care beyond a survivor’s shelter stay through Community Reintegration Services, offering continued encouragement and connection. Document services accurately and timely to ensure program integrity, measurable impact, and compliance with grant expectations. Build collaborative partnerships with community providers – including social services, healthcare, education, law enforcement, and legal systems – to strengthen coordinated support for survivors. Serve as a steady, grounding presence when situations are complex, emotional, or urgent. Reliable attendance is essential to ensuring consistent, life-saving support for survivors.
