About The Position
Radiant Global Logistics is seeking a Domestic Operations Agent to join our team in Tempe, AZ. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for logistics and customer service. The Domestic Operations Agent will play a crucial role in our operations, focusing on domestic freight forwarding and ensuring that shipments are handled with precision and care. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in freight forwarding and will be responsible for various tasks including alerting and routing shipments, pricing domestic air, ground, LTL, and FTL services, and maintaining communication with carriers and customers. In this role, you will be expected to follow standard operating procedures while managing shipments and addressing any service failures or issues that may arise. You will also be responsible for obtaining shipment details such as pieces, weights, and dimensions, and updating our transportation software accordingly. The Domestic Operations Agent will work closely with our team to ensure that all shipments are processed efficiently and accurately, and will be proactive in negotiating rates with carriers to secure the best possible pricing for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic work environment. You will need to demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work collaboratively with team members and external contacts. A valid driver's license is required for this position, and familiarity with transportation management systems and warehouse management systems will be beneficial.
