AIT is seeking a talented and motivated Domestic Customer Tracking Agent I to join our team to track and trace shipments with high accuracy. The team ensures that shipments are updated timely, troubleshoots service disruptions, and communicates service delays.

  • Track and trace shipments as necessary to ensure proper movement and delivery.
  • Participates in the development and use of suitable sales forecasting processes and models.
  • Update shipments with current shipment status to include comprehensive notes.
  • Communicate daily with AIT field offices as well as AIT’s agent/carrier networks to ensure on-time performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions.
  • Maintain familiarity with conditions that require special services and ensure accurate data entry of these costs.
  • Answer Departmental phone lines and emails.
  • Cultivate and foster trusting relationships with AIT’s agent/carrier networks.

  • High School/GED required – Associates degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year Customer Service or Tracking experience in a freight forwarding environment.
  • Prior experience working with AS400 a plus.
  • Knowledge of U.S. geography and airport codes a plus.
  • Basic to intermediate PC skills – MS Office.
  • Ability effectively prioritize and manage time and tasks.
  • Detailed Oriented.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong Communication skills both verbal and written.
