About the position
Silverchain is the leading provider of complete in home care services in Australia, supporting 115,000 people of all ages each year, across a range of services in their homes including hospital in the home, palliative care, aged care (Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support Programme), allied health, social support, and virtual care monitoring. We are currently looking for experienced and passionate Domestic Assistants across Coodanup, Dudley Park, Greenfields, Mandurah. We have a permanent part-time role available with guaranteed 55 hrs per fortnight. Shifts: Monday 0900-1600, Tues 0900-1500, Wed 0900-1500, Thurs 0900-1400, Fri 0900-1400. Responsibilities
- Support clients to undertake domestic tasks in the home as prescribed within the care/support plan.
- Enhance and encourage participation in their own care to maintain their independence.
- Perform a range of domestic tasks including making beds, ironing, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping the floor.
- Provide some social support in the community.
- Follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home.
Requirements
- 3-6 months Domestic/Industrial cleaning experience.
- A valid Drivers’ License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition.
- Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
