About The Position
Silverchain is the leading provider of complete in home care services in Australia, supporting 115,000 people of all ages each year, across a range of services in their homes including hospital in the home, palliative care, aged care (Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support Programme), allied health, social support, and virtual care monitoring. We are currently looking for a passionate Domestic Assistant to support our clients within the following suburbs: Balcatta, Carine, Gwelup, Innaloo, Karrinyup, Marmion, North Beach, Sorrento, Trigg, Waterman's Bay (Only applicants residing in or near the above suburbs will be considered). This is a permanent part-time role offering a contract of 55 hours per fortnight with a regular, ongoing roster working Monday - Friday. Experience in the role is desirable, however not essential. If you have 3-6 months experience in a cleaning role, we’d love to hear from you! Our Domestic Assistants support clients to undertake domestic tasks in the home such as prescribed within the care/support plan enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible. Responsibilities include a range of domestic tasks incl. making their beds, ironing, laundry, dusting, vacuuming and mopping the floor, with some social support in the community. Domestic Assistants will follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, therefore having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously, via a mobile app, will be essential.
