About The Position
The Domestic and Consignment Operations Planner is a key role within JW Transport and JW Customs Brokers, responsible for overseeing daily consignment inventory management and logistics functions across assigned territories in the United States. This salaried, exempt position operates from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, and requires a strong commitment to exceptional customer service and attention to detail. The Planner will manage shipments, ensuring that cargo is matched with appropriate trucks and that deliveries are executed successfully. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations and ensuring that customer expectations are met consistently. In addition to managing shipments, the Planner will be responsible for tracking truck locations and progress, providing timely updates to clients and end-users regarding shipment status. The position also involves monitoring consignment inventory through the development and maintenance of Excel-based control systems. The Planner will assist clients with inquiries about order status and special needs, resolving any delivery problems efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that every interaction with clients, vendors, and shipment participants is handled with care and professionalism.
