SeaWorld San Diego is making waves and looking for charismatic Dolphin Show Hosts to energize our dolphin presentations! We’re seeking confident, high-energy performers who love engaging guests, sharing fun facts, and helping create unforgettable moments between our animals and audience. If you thrive on stage, love the spotlight, and bring great vibes to every show—this role is for you 🐬✨ Roles: What We Are Looking For: High-energy, bubbly, and laid-back performers to lead pre-show entertainment at the Dolphin Amphitheatre. Hosts engage guests, set the tone for an exciting dolphin presentation, and create a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere. Performers must be proficient in ukulele or acoustic guitar and comfortable standing, walking, singing, and interacting with guests while playing.

Requirements

  • Fun, outgoing, personable, and animated performance style.
  • Ability to accept and apply performance feedback.
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability for varying shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and after-hours rehearsals.
  • Ability to maintain character integrity.
  • Willingness to participate in regular performance assessments.
  • Prior experience in guest service or performance (theater, dance, athletics, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact positively with diverse guests and coworkers.
  • Stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Audition requirements may include dance, movement, script memorization, role playing, comedic improv, and miming.
  • Non-peak seasons: At least 3 days of unrestricted availability, including 1 weekend day.
  • Peak seasons: At least 4 days of unrestricted availability, including 1 weekend day.
  • Must be able to work varying hours based on park needs, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Extensive walking and standing required.
  • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, reach overhead, and perform simple grasp and fine motor tasks.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature extremes.
  • May be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules and locations based on business needs.
  • Must be able to participate in person at the scheduled audition.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically represent the park with a positive attitude, high energy, and commitment to quality.
  • Perform in stage shows, parades, meet-and-greets, and special events.
  • Accept performance feedback and adapt accordingly.
  • Execute pre- and post-show backstage duties as assigned.
  • Assist the Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and procedural guidelines.
  • Consistently and expertly execute stage direction and show content.
  • Positively interact with guests, employees, and fellow performers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • May support Sesame Place San Diego as needed.
