About The Position

The DOL VETS TAP Employment Facilitator role is designed to assist transitioning servicemen and women from the military to civilian employment. This part-time position involves conducting job assistance workshops, providing employment counseling, and facilitating apprenticeship program placements. The facilitator will guide military personnel in identifying their career goals and help them navigate the job application process, ensuring they are well-prepared for civilian life.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience as a professional trainer or facilitator, or an Associate's degree.
• Experience demonstrating understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
• Experience as a classroom instructor.
• Knowledge of workplace requirements for various jobs.
• Ability to provide training to groups of up to 50 participants.
• Proficiency in MS Windows and Office.
• Effective communication skills with military clients and ability to engage an audience.
