About The Position

The DOL TAP Program Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting transitioning servicemen and women from the military to civilian life through the Department of Labor's Transition Assistance Program (TAP). This position involves coordinating various support services, managing schedules, and ensuring effective communication and administrative support to facilitate the program's success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience working as a Workforce Solutions or HR Specialist.
  • Proficient in MS Windows and Office.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities

  • Review, prepare, develop, and modify reports and/or client programs and policies.
  • Assign Facilitators to weekly and monthly class schedules, verify facilitators' availability and base access, and find replacement facilitators as needed.
  • Perform various clerical and administrative support tasks.
  • Review travel authorization requests and expense reports and track travel expenses.
  • Assist with the coordination of virtual platform licenses.
  • Maintain staffing rosters, access to training database, as well as track training completion status.
  • Assist with timekeeping processes.
  • Coordinate meetings and take meeting minutes.
