Since 2016, we’ve been serving best-in-show care from coast to coast with day care, boarding, grooming, training, veterinary services, and more. Pay starts at $17.00 - $18.00/hour DOE + tips 💪 What You Should Know: This is an on-your-feet, hands-on, sometimes-sweaty kind of job. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs (golden retrievers don’t walk themselves to the tub). Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required (pets don’t take days off). Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and, ahem, “accidents” is part of the gig. Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift. Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently 📋 Reporting To: General Manager 🐾 What You Bring to the Table: 🐕 What You'll Be Doing (Besides Making Furry Friends for Life): Take dogs on individual walks like the VIPs they are, following assigned schedules Ensure every pup is safely leashed, harnessed, and living their best life outdoors Provide exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of positive reinforcement (good dogs everywhere!) Keep a close eye out for signs of stress, illness, or injury and report anything unusual Scoop the poop — because heroes do the hard things. Send care journals to clients after each visit (bonus points for cuteness) Cat Care (Yes, You’ll Be Judged — It’s Fine) Feed cats according to instructions and dietary needs (exactly as written, or else) Clean litter boxes and refresh water daily Offer companionship, playtime, and enrichment — on their terms Administer medications if required (don’t worry, training is provided) Observe and report any changes in behavior or health Send thoughtful care journals to clients after each visit Center & Admin Duties (The Less Furry Stuff) Check in at the center at the beginning and end of shifts (and during downtime) Help maintain our scheduling app Answer client messages with professionalism and warmth Process invoicing and basic administrative tasks Jump in to help around the center as needed Follow all safety and pet-handling protocols Communicate clearly with management and pet parents Maintain accurate care notes and visit reports Represent the business in a friendly, professional, pet-loving manner Other duties as assigned Destination Pet LLC affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
