About The Position
Sit Stay NJ is seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team in the Ramsey/Mahwah, NJ area. As a bonded, insured, and background-checked pet care provider, we pride ourselves on uplifting and inspiring our local community through our work with pets and their families. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who love animals and are looking for a flexible source of supplemental income. The role primarily involves providing occasional drop-in visits and dog walks for our clients, typically scheduled between 10 AM and 3 PM on weekdays, with some weekend availability required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable servicing clients in the Mahwah, Ramsey, Allendale, and Waldwick areas. It is important to note that there are no guaranteed hours for this position, and new hires may not receive hours every week initially. This job is particularly well-suited for retirees, at-home parents, and college students who have a flexible schedule and a love for animals. Working as a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter means being prepared to handle various outdoor conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures, while maintaining a positive and upbeat attitude. Candidates should be ready to deal with the realities of pet care, including managing untrained dogs and handling any unpleasant situations that may arise.
