About The Position

Staycation Pet Sitting Service is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Dog Walker and Pet Sitter. This position involves providing pet care services, including dog walking and pet sitting, primarily in Reading and surrounding towns. The role is suitable for both part-time and full-time candidates who are passionate about animals and can manage their time effectively while ensuring the well-being of pets in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must love animals and be comfortable around any breed/type of animal.
• Must be reliable and trustworthy.
• Strong time management skills are essential.
• Must have a reliable car and smartphone.
• Must live within 20 minutes of the service area.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide professional references.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to walk long distances in any weather conditions.
• Willingness to perform tasks such as picking up pet waste.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with animals (personal and professional) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience administering medication to pets is a plus.
• Background in pet grooming is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs and provide pet sitting services in Reading and surrounding towns.
• Administer medication to pets as needed.
• Groom pets when required.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during walks and visits.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate pet care needs, including potential night, weekend, and holiday hours.
