About The Position

The Dog Handler is responsible for the care and general maintenance of the kennel and surrounding spaces for the health and well-being of the dogs and the guests’ enjoyment. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a general knowledge of or interest in dogs
Computer literacy, including experience with Excel and Word
Ability to engage with visiting guests and children
Must have excellent verbal & written skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
Basic knowledge and understanding of math
Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to be on feet for the majority of the day
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely

Responsibilities

Perform daily tasks pertaining to the upkeep of the kennels
Complete kennel daily chores, including watering, feeding and cleaning of stalls
Tour guests around the kennel, communicate about the breed and what we do at BF
Identify dog problems and communicate to the supervisor
Organize and maintain kennel-related tools and equipment
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members and managers and interact with our guests.
