Responsibilities

• Ensure operations are maintained to the highest standards while addressing areas for improvement within the Daycare.
• Oversee weekly work schedule for Canine Coaches and Rovers and submit to General Manager for review.
• Stay within budgeted labor cost and minimize overtime by actively managing shifts.
• Control labor by determining necessary staffing levels and managing call-outs accordingly.
• Maintain optimum staffing levels and lead by example with a positive attitude.
• Motivate, train, and develop Back of House employees focusing on customer service and dog care standards.
• Ensure all back of house members complete appropriate learning paths in a timely manner.
• Conduct monthly one-on-ones with all back of house team members.
• Deliver written updates to the General Manager consistently.
• Communicate team growth and developmental needs to leadership team.
• Assist in pursuing and hiring back of house team members, reviewing applications, and conducting interviews.
• Effectively onboard all approved new hires and track significant pet parent issues and concerns.
• Plan, prepare, and conduct daily shift huddles with team members and contribute to monthly team meetings.
• Recommend employee incentive programs and oversee Canine Coach and Rover activities including training, playroom management, and facility cleanliness.
• Facilitate and maintain cleaning schedules and ensure proper usage of cleaning products.
• Handle dog and employee injuries and maintain OSHA standards.
