About the Role As a Dog Bather / Groomer in Training , you’ll be hands-on with the dogs, helping them look and feel their best. You’ll start by mastering the basics—bathing, drying, and providing routine wellness care—with the opportunity to advance into a certified Groomer role through our training program! This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to grow their skills, work in a fun environment, and make a difference in the lives of dogs and their families.
Requirements
- A dog lover – You’re passionate about keeping dogs clean and healthy
- Detail-oriented – You notice the little things that keep dogs safe and looking great
- Team player – You enjoy working collaboratively and supporting your coworkers
- Patient and resilient – You stay calm and focused, even with wiggly dogs!
- Strong and reliable – Able to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for long periods
- Motivated to grow – You want to develop your skills and advance your career
- Great communicator – You can work well with team members and dog parents
Responsibilities
- Bathe, blow-dry, clip/grind nails, clean ears, brush coat, clean teeth, and express glands
- Prep dogs for grooming according to the service ticket
- Perform wellness checks using our S.C.E.N.T. Check app
- Work as part of a team to ensure services are completed efficiently
- Assist team members and ask for assistance when needed
- Ensure the safety of all dogs and team members at all times
- Follow Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
- Perform other duties as needed to keep the center running smoothly
