The position performs process and production maintenance throughout the facility, with responsibilities including equipment breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, and preventative/precision maintenance programs.

  • Utilize CMMS to support the maintenance function including review, execution and documentation of daily scheduled/unscheduled work
  • Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required
  • Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and repair of all mechanical power transmission equipment
  • Knowledge of gear boxes, mechanical drives, variable speed applications, and Servo motors
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices
  • Diagnose, repair and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related systems
  • Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications
  • Experienced use of precision tools i.e. dials indicators, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges
  • Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams
  • Ability to read/interpret Electrical Schematics is a plus
  • Skilled in pipe fitting, soldering, rigging application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools
  • Skilled in machine shop to fabricate within specific tolerance
  • 480v 3 phase knowledge required
  • Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
  • Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Transition opportunity is for 90-180 days
  • Open to any Maintenance related Job Codes, NECS, or Ratings
  • Ability to read/interpret Electrical Schematics
  • Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E
