Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintenance Mechanic 3: Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining and repairing production machines and facility equipment.
  • Maintenance Mechanic 4: Minimum 6 years of experience maintaining and repairing production machines and facility equipment.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair of CNC milling and turning centers with Fanuc Controllers.
  • Knowledge of metrology equipment and their uses including micrometers, calipers, indicators, depth micrometers, gauge pins, thread gauges and optical comparators.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and electrical circuits.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with CNC equipment including HAAS, DMG, Mazak, and/or OKK.
  • Experience working with other heavy equipment such as vacuum pumps, degreasers, and high temp vacuum ovens.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site internship in an entry to mid-level career type role.
  • Support a work schedule equivalent to 40 hours per week.
  • Provide fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of military commitment.
  • Participate in professional development, networking with leadership, and training focused on NG leadership principles.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of facility equipment including process machinery and building infrastructure.
  • Requisition repair and maintenance parts, schedule and implement maintenance work and repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper performance.
  • Update production schedule with maintenance performed.
  • Coordinate with outside repair vendors.
  • Maintain and inventory repair parts.
  • Ensure proper oil and coolant levels in machines.
  • Repair and correct machine leaks.
  • Troubleshoot production machines and facility equipment problems.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Suggest process improvements and equipment purchases.
  • Comply with and promote Company Quality and Safety Policies and Strategic Business Objectives.
